Eligibility

Program Details

We can't wait to get you on the hill!

To qualify for Second Tracks, you must meet the following criteria:

Local (Collingwood, Blue Mountains, Clearview)
Aged 12-16 and wish to have some outdoor fun
Do not have regular access to these sports
Must complete YMCA intake form and Blue Mountain waiver & consent forms

If you qualify, please follow the "Register Participant" button below. Note, you will be directed away from our Second Tracks website and to the YMCA form.

Program Details

For this introductory 2025 season, we're offering 50 participants for eight weeks on a first come, first serve basis. The program will consist of 2 x 4week sessions on a first come first serve basis. So, the first group will learn to ski over 4 consecutive weeks, followed by a new session.

If the 2nd session is not filled, then the first session applicants may fill and open spots for the 2nd session.

Expansion of the program will be determined after this initial trial year.

As part of our program, we are accepting donations for winter sports equipment in exchange for a tax receipt. If you'd like to donate equipment, please fill out the form attached and send it to info@secondtracks.ca

Equipment drop off is as North Shore Ltd. 25 Sandford Fleming Drive, Collingwood, ON

IMPORTANT DATES

Orientation - Monday, January 6, 2025 at 6pm

On Monday, January 6, 2025 at 6pm our group of parents, youth, and volunteers will meet for the orientation session to review program information and answer any questions. Winter clothing will be distributed at this time.

Location: Collingwood YMCA - Later Pizza will be serve up slices for dinner. 6 pm start

First Ski - Sunday, January 12

The first ski date! The Collingwood Blues bus will leave the YMCA at 4:00 pm sharp, with an in-town pick up, dinner at hill and return from Blue at 8pm.

Special Notes

The first 10 registrations will receive a new pair of high-performance leather gloves from Swany Canada!
